About Ron
Ron Flockton was born in Sydney, oldest of two sons, and has lived much of his life in country NSW.
Ron married former Australia Branch President Elizabeth Watson in April 2001. At the ceremony he telegraphed his interest in the Clan by wearing a tailored waistcoat in the Hunting Chisholm tartan. He has one son and a daughter from his first marriage (his wife Jennifer died in April 1995) and a grandson Teikken, born in April 2002.
Ron and Elizabeth moved into their new home on the Central Coast of New South Wales (about one hour's drive north of Sydney) in October 2002. They are still adjusting to their new lifestyle and very much enjoy travelling and sightseeing.
Ron is currently working part-time as an Enrolled Nurse in the Out-patients Department at Gosford Hospital. He enjoys this role, which includes Clinical Practise and administrative tasks.
Earlier this year (2004) in continuing his community interests, Ron was elected to the local neighbourhood Precinct Committee, which meets monthly to discuss local issues. Also, more recently, Ron made himself available to join the local Focus Group to provide input on the design and development of a Community Centre to service the needs of a rapidly growing area.
