About Mary Jane
Mary Jane was born and raised a Chisholm in and around Calgary, Alberta. She earned a BSHEc from the University of Saskatchewan in 1982. She is married to Ty Pfeifer and they have 3 sons, Scott (20), Andy (18) and Jimmy (15) and they live in Okotoks, Alberta. Ty is a geologist in Calgary and Mary Jane has been applying her skills for many years creating and building costumes for local dancers and actors. Mary Jane also developed and managed her home based Crickle Creek Coffee Roasting Company for five years. She worked as a member of the team at the non-profit Leighton Art Center discussing strategies, developing programs and instructing school groups. She is currently a Library Trustee for the Okotoks Public Library and on the Board of the Western Canada High School Alumni Association. She is always reading, dancing, creating willow baskets and likes to get her hands dirty in the garden. She has been actively involved with the Clan Chisholm Society for many years and was elected Canada Branch President in 2005.
