Genealogy Project & Family History Research
See Genealogy Project Reports in the 2005 Annual Report of the Clan Chisholm Society.
The Clan Chisholm Society's Branch Genealogists are collecting family tree data that will be merged into an international database in an effort to facilitate genealogical research by making these records accessible to our members.
How to Participate in the Genealogy Project:
Members of The Clan Chisholm Society are encouraged to submit Family Group Records for their immediate families and all generations for which genealogy records are available.
If you have Adobe Acrobat Reader® installed on your computer, you can download and print the CCS genealogy form, Family Group Record (PDF). If not, you can request a genealogy form by regular mail from your Branch Genealogist or Branch Chairman.
Society Announcement:
On December 10, 2004, Merritt Chisholm, President of the Clan Chisholm Society, announced the appointment of James Michael Fitz-Gerald to the Clan Council position of Honorary Genealogy Project Coordinator, responsible for the development and implementation of the Society's International Genealogical Database. In his announcement, Merritt stated that the entire Clan Council was most impressed with Jimmy's Genealogy Project Charter and greatly appreciated the time and effort Jimmy has made toward bringing this project to its first stage of development. Further, all members of Council are most confident that under Jim's capable leadership, the International Genealogical Database will become a reality and a strong "raison d'etre" for our Society. On behalf of the Society's Council, Merritt congratulated James M. Fitz-Gerald on his Clan Council appointment and expressed the Council's gratitude to Jim and his Genealogy Project Committee for their excellent work in finalizing the Genealogy Project Charter, which was approved at the December 4, 2004 Clan Council meeting.
