About Gayle
Gayle Gray's ancestors came to the USA in 1774, entered the country at Charleston, South Carolina, and made their home in Burke County, Georgia before moving to Mississippi.
Gayle's participation in the Clan Chisholm Society includes attending the 2001 Clan Chisholm Gathering in Inverness, Scotland (see Gathering photo below), as well as the 2003 Clan Gathering in Nova Scotia, Canada. Gayle wrote a beautiful account of the 2001 Gathering, titled "Fond memories of the Clan Chisholm Gathering in Scotland" that was published in the Fall/Winter 2001 issue of the Clan Chisholm Society-US Branch Newsletter. Additionally, she and her daughter represented Clan Chisholm at the 2003 Longs Peak Scottish Irish Festival and Highland Games in Estes Park, Colorado.
On June 15, 2004, Gayle was elected Secretary of the US Branch of the Clan Chisholm Society and serves on the US Branch Executive Board.
